Sunday School meets from 9:15 – 12:15 during the academic semester except during Jewish or secular holidays.

September 10 | First day of school. Parents join kids for ice cream social at 11:00 a.m. |
September 17 | Meet for Tashlich service and lunch at 3:00 in Lower City Park, pavillion 11 |
September 24 | Meet at Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center (3910 Napoleon Ln, Iowa City) from 10:30 – 11:30. Parents accompany children ages 5-6. Others can be dropped off. |
October 1 | Family lunch in the sukkah, 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the synagogue |
October 6 (Friday) | Tot Shabbat and Supper in the Sukkah (sponsored by the Membership Committee) at 6:00 p.m. The service is intended for ages 7 and younger. Siblings and grandparents welcome! |
October 7 (Saturday) | Simchat Torah Service with Fire Pit / Marshmallows at 6:30 p.m. |

Pre-K Schedule
Welcome to our youngest students and their parents!
In the Pre-K class, parents join their children for a short morning session (9:15 – 10:15) roughly once a month. The class is intended for four-year-olds. We do crafts and tell stories appropriate with a special emphasis on Jewish holidays.
A Typical Class:
9:00 – 9:15 Join the rest of the school for songs in the Sanctuary (Hineh Ma Tov Time)
9:15 – 9:30 Stories or craft
9:30 – 9:45 Snack
9:45 – 10:15 Stories or craft
Meetings During September/Early October (the month of Tishre)
The Jewish holidays all fell on a Sunday this year! We could not hold Sunday School at the usual times. But we do have some family-friendly events planned around the holidays. Please note that many of them are outside of regular Sunday School hours.
