This Iowa City Jews / Public Space Judaism initiative is an “Urban Beit Midrash” – a Torah study “hall” for the public, held at a downtown location. Rabbi Hugenholtz prepared the inaugural series in 2025, and taught it at the Iowa City nonprofit, Public Space One. It attracted regular attendees from within and outside of the synagogue community. She’s planning to offer an updated version of the series at an opportune future time.
