A decade ago, our 2026 Scholar-in-Residence Lex Rofeberg co-created the podcast Judaism Unbound “out of a conviction that we are living in a momentous time in Jewish history.”
This year, Rabbi Rofeberg and co-host Dan Libenson published key episodes in the form of a book, Judaism Unbound (Bound): Provocative Conversations about the Jewish Future with Visionary Thinkers and Practitioners. We’ll discuss it at this month’s Big Ideas in Jewish Books Club at Iowa City Public Library, on Weds. Oct 21 at 6:30 p.m. It’s a preparation for Rofeberg’s Residency, which begins two nights later with a talk at Old Brick in Iowa City on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. Join us for both!
At the Big Ideas club on Oct. 21 we’ll discuss five chapters. Below we’ll offer links to PDFs of these chapters, all to be uploaded in the coming days. In the meantime, here are links to the original podcasts and online transcript.
We’ve been uploading PDFs of the chapters we’ll discuss from Judaism Unbound (Bound) – watch this space! In addition, you can follow links to the original podcasts and unedited transcripts for all chapters.
